We already showed you a musical team building at Abbey road: Beatles, retro style, historic building…A unique and exceptional place but at a cost. If your budget is less daring, we can offer you the same activity but in a different studio an at a lower and more affordable price.

After a very nice lunch in a local pub, this group of 22 professionals live the experience of “recording a song in a studio” that they will never forget.

The recording music studio they have chosen is located in a very central area of London, it is renowned for its creativity, its style and sophistication.  The three-studio complex is housed in a majestic United Reform Church that has been carefully renovated to provide a perfect fusion between the building’s architectural heritage, the most up to date technology and the very best modern control room design.

The activity was supervised by two music passionate professionals.

*  The music producer, Steven, who has worked in the music business for over 20 years, not only as a music producer, but also as a songwriter, mix engineer, composer, musician and studio owner. Having worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, Steve has an incredible wealth of experience, skill and talent.

Steve has also worked in film music, on many Hollywood films including ‘From Hell’ starring Johnny Depp and the Britney Spears film ‘Crossroads’. But he also worked with Sting and Eric Clapton…

He manages on-site the whole activity, the recording and the editing afterwards.

* The singer and french speaker, Gabrielle, who from the TV set “Nouvelle Star” to London jazz clubs, is  now a firm favourite in her adopted UK, talented vocalist she brings a special blend of Gallic charm and sophistication to the British jazz scene.

She helps and guides the teams during the re-writing of the lyrics and then coaches the participants giving them advices and tips in order for their voices to give their best during the session.

The activity takes place in 3 phases. First, the group is divided into 3 teams to re-write the lyrics of the song. For this session, the title chosen was “Dancing Queen” from Abba as a nod to the musical Mamma Mia the participants were going to see the same evening. Each team gets a verse to create, with the help of Gabrielle.

A theme is decided ahead and broaches generally the company, the atmosphere, the trip in London etc.

Over the second phase and for the ones who wish, Gabrielle offer them the chance to vocal-warm up with some exercises around the piano. A fun and high point moment where the different teams discover the lyrics created by their co-workers.

The text with the new lyrics is then transpose, print and hand out to all the participants for each of them to be able to have a copy for the recording.

A listening, sharing and rhythm team work, laugh assured!

After a few takes and when Gabrielle, Steven and the whole group are entirely happy of the final result, the recording is kept, edited and send to each participant by email as a souvenir of the unforgettable moment.

Note that a professional photographer can also be on-site during the whole session for you to keep some images and souvenirs of this amazing moment.
